  • Clarence Campbell - former head of the NHL and a judge at the Nuremberg trials after WW2
  • BETTY CHAN -IN THE 1960'S WAS THE CANADIAN HIGHLAND DANCING CHAMPION, AND 1ST RUNNER UP IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. WHAT MAKES HER FEAT EVEN MORE UNUSUAL THAN WINNING A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AND COMPETING SUCCESSFULLY AT THE WORLD LEVEL, IS THAT BETTY IS OF CHINESE HERITAGE. IN FACT IT WAS SO UNUSUAL AND SHE WAS SO SUCCESSFUL THAT THEY DESIGNED, REGISTERED, AND PRODUCED A PLAID SPECIFICALLY FOR HER, WHICH SHE REFERRED TO AS "THE CHAN PLAID" WHICH IN ITSELF IS A TOTALLY UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL TRIBUTE. ANY ONE OF SCOTTISH HERITAGE WOULD RECOGNIZE WHAT A DISTINCTIVE HONOUR THIS WOULD BE.
  • John Diefenbaker
  • tommy douglas Tommy Douglas - The Greates Canadian! (also grandfather to Keifer Sutherland)
  • Al Duerr (mayor of Calgary)
  • Rick Folk
  • Stu Hart - the king of wrestling!
  • Victor Hoffman - mass murderer. In August 1967, Victor Hoffman went on a rampage and shot to death 9 members of the Peterson family while they slept in their farmhouse - the parents and 7 children. Only a four year old girl survived. He had never met the family. The case was especially notorious because Hoffman had briefly been a patient in the psych ward in Prince Albert, but was apparently let out with no follow up care and no warning as to how dangerous his condition was. As an interesting side note, the police inspector who investigated the case, Brian Sawyer, later went on to become Calgary’s Chief of Police.
